The ultra protective outer foil has no sharp edges. This means individual hairs don’t catch, so you don’t get the feeling of having them ripped out, unlike some other brands of electric shavers. At only 41 micrometers, the outer foil is incredibly thin, and its subtle vibrations lift the hair follicle for the closest shave possible. Multi-Arc Blades offer uniform, even pressure on the chin and an evenly-contoured shave. 30-degree inner blades featuring Nanotech technology cut the hair at its base.
It’s easy to maintain. The cleaning cartridge does a great job, and the razor tells you when its time to get it cleaned – This is an awesome feature.
The unit has a bright, pleasant blue LED display that shows battery level, shave time and other statistics, including the need to replace the foil after one year, & when it needs to cleaned. However the battery level and cleaning reminder is probably all that is needed.
The charger easily adapts for travel. The shaver comes with a molded leather travel case. Great if you travel a lot. There is even a setting to have the razor self clean with regular liquid soap, for when you are traveling and cannot bring the charging station with you.

Close as a blade / without discomfort
This shaver gets as close as a blade without the irritation that inevitably follows a close blade shave. I was amazed that the unit felt as comfortable to handle as it did. It is a huge shaver but has great ergonomics. I am unable to create the sensation of discomfort no matter how hard I press or how many times I go over the same area. Also, no more ingrowns. If you can justify the cost, go for it.

It may not look as slick as the Braun Series 7- 790cc and the Philips Norelco 1280cc/42 , but does it really matter. This unit really packs a punch. Is it worth the Price Tag? If it’s within your budget, you won’t go wrong with the Panasonic ES-LA93-K Vortex Wet/Dry Men’s Shaver.
