How To Shave
Should I shave down there?
I do competitive gymnastics (I practive 4 hours each day 4 times a week) and you have to wear a leotard and its very uncomfortable (It always has been). I have dark hair and in some of my bathing suites you can see it threw the bikini, not to mention the leotards…:/ How should I go with asking my mom or should I not even ask her? Also, how do you shave down there with out getting in grown hair and such? Thanks:)

You can start with telling your mom how you feel and why you want to shave. As a fellow female like yourself, I’m sure she can understand and provide some help.
Here are some tips about Shaving:
-It helps to shower beforehand with warm water to help soften the hairs.
-Always use a NEW razor, not an old razor. Make sure its of good quality.
-Trim your hair. If the hair is too long, it will easily clog up the razor and make it more difficult to shave cleaner.
-There are some products you can buy at your local drug store to help with shaving/after shaving. A lot of these come in cream or liquid forms, which help reduce the redness and irritation. The area down there is VERY sensitive in general, so it’s much easier for it to get irritated.
I’m not sure how old you are, but you can also try Waxing. I personally find it more effective and less irritating than shaving.Of course it can be a little painful at first, but it gets easier the more times you do it. I tend to get more ingrown hairs and irritation from shaving alone even when I take precautions. I recommend a professional doing it.
