How do you Remove Hair from your underarms?
I tried Shaving, but since the hair is kind of coarse, it slices it off and leaves a really obvious stubble. Does this happen to any of you? What do you do to remove hair from your underarms, and what are its pros and cons?
You can shave, Wax, epilate, cream it off, have laser Hair Removal or Electrolysis hair removal.
Ok here it goes:
SHAVING;
Pros: quick, pain free, easy to do.
Cons: only short term until hair grows back, leaves stuble, gets thicker over time.
CREAM;
Pros: pain free, doesnt grow back AS corse as when shaving.
Cons: hair growth is short term (like shaving as only the top layer is coming off and not the root of the hair), can be a hassel to do as it is under the arm pitt and cream needs 2 stay on 5-10 minutes without wipping off, so arm may ache being held up for a long time! can get expensive as you always need 2 buy the cream.
Waxing;
Pros: lasts up to 4 weeks, hair becomes finer and weaker.
Cons: OUCHHH, can be awkward 2 carry out along when waxing under arm pitt, only successfull when hair is long.
EPILATING;
Pros: lasts up to 4 weeks, can still catch hairs even when they’ve just grown through. cheaper than purchasing wax/creams all the time, as its a one-off buy that lasts forever)
Cons: painful, costs anything from 25 – 100 pounds to purchase, can get ingrowing hairs.
Laser Hair Removal;
Pros: Hair is removed forever!
Cons: expensive
ELECTROLYSIS;
Pros: Hair is gone forever
Cons: cheaper than laser, but more painful!
I personally would recommend waxing if you can take the pain, to get the hair growth finer. Then epilating if it bothers you to wait until the hair grows back long enough to wax. these are long term solutions that last weeks.
If you cant take pain i would recomend creaming instead of waxing. however will work out quite expensive as hair re-grows back quickely and cream runs out!
If you’ve got the money i would recomend laser hair removal!
